The suspect eventually paid N2,650 for the car that was sold to him for N2.65 million through a bank transfer, according to Olokode.

According to Olokode,

Without having money in his account, the suspect went to one Kazeem Ogunjobi, an auto dealer at Inyas Motors in Ota-Efun Area, Osogbo, and negotiated for an unregistered Toyota Camry car.

“They agreed on a sum of two million, six hundred and fifty thousand Naira,” says the source (N2,650,000).

The complainant (auto dealer) then told the police that the suspect took his partner’s bank account information under the guise of transferring money into the account.

However, instead of paying the negotiated amount of N2,650,000, the suspect transferred N2,650 and drove away with the car.

According to the police chief, police detectives jumped into action as soon as the matter was reported, and the automobile was found in a painter’s workshop in Iwo, Osun’s Iwo Local Government Area.
