2023 ELECTION: Why I Stopped My Children From Relocating Abroad– Atiku Opens Up
Atiku Abubakar, who is running for president as a candidate for the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP), has disclosed the reason he prevented his children from traveling and settling permanently outside of Nigeria.
Atiku disclosed this information while speaking with the South- East PDP Stakeholders in Enugu on Tuesday. He stated that he does not believe in migration and therefore does not permit his children to travel permanently outside of the country.
The former vice president has expressed confidence that his children will not remain in other countries and attempt to support themselves there, regardless of the circumstances.
According to Atiku, Nigerians are now leaving the country in masses because the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has made life so difficult for the people.
He said, ” In the government in which I served as Vice President, you saw Nigerians returning from abroad to invest in several opportunities in the country. Because I experienced it at my university.
” When I made sure I provide international standards, so many Nigerians from the United States and Europe came back not to Lagos or Abuja but North- East Yola. They came back. All we need to do is to make sure we make our country attractive for them to return and they will return, ” he added.
