JUBILATION In Rivers State As Gov. Wike Returns Rivers Aircraft Allegedly Abandoned By Amaechi In Germany

It was reported that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State returned the state’ s Legacy 600 aircraft from Germany on Tuesday.

The Governor arrived with the aircraft on Tuesday at Port Harcourt International Airport in Omagwa Local Government, the state capital.

The majority of the residents across the state gathered at the airport for a reception to celebrate the safe return of the aircraft that belonged to the state.

Rumors were circulating that the aircraft had been left behind in Germany by the administration of a former governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

According to Governor Wike, it required an intelligence assessment for the state government to figure out that the state has such a valuable asset.

The Governor of Rivers State claimed that the aircraft was flown to Germany by Amaechi’ s administration, even though his administration did not see any records of such a trip.

He said, ” To the glory of God, the plane is back and Rivers people can see. Nigerians can see. It is not that we are playing politics.

” All we are saying is that we never knew. Nobody told us until we got intelligence that we have this asset somewhere. ”

Wike revealed that the Legacy 600 Aircraft had been purchased by the administration led by Peter Odili to serve the interests of the people of the Rivers.
