Atiku Abubakar, who is running for president as the candidate of the People’ s Democratic Party, or PDP, has declared that those who are conspiring against him in the race to replace President Muhammadu Buhari in the next election would be unsuccessful.

Atiku, who spoke via Dino Melaye, the Spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee, also accused Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, of being the architect behind the turmoil that is shaking the PDP.

Remember that yesterday, the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lashed out at the former vice president, Atiku, as well as the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, and pledged to keep fighting till his demands are satisfied.

Wike, who was beaten by Atiku during the primary poll on May 29, sought the resignation of Ayu as the sole condition to work for Atiku’ s win in 2023. This demand came after Wike was defeated by Atiku during the primary election.

But according to a statement by Dino headlined ” No Shortcut To Victory, ” the campaign spokesman added that Atiku is today being persecuted because he decided to be a democratic by not pushing Ayu to quit, and this is why Atiku is currently undergoing persecution.

The statement went on to say that Atiku would maintain his support for the establishment of powerful institutions that have the capability of limiting the excesses of political goliaths.
