According to reports, a 56-year-old man was beaten to death by his three sons, who accused him of entering into their home to steal a smartphone they shared.

The incident occurred in Shikangania village in Lurambi Constituency, Kakamega County, Kenya, after the boys (two high school students and one primary school student) invited their father to a funeral planning meeting in a neighboring compound.

They murdered their father and discarded his body in a neighboring bush. Two girls were walking to school when they came across the body.

Joyce Nanzekho, sister of the deceased said;

“The deceased used to live in Nairobi and had only come home for the funeral of our neighbor who died recently,” Joyce Nanzekho, the deceased’s sister, said. When his sons called, he was part of the team digging the late neighbor’s grave.

On the day of the incident, the boys’ grandmother, Leonida Keya, said that they came to her house to eat but did not tell her what they had done to their father.

Keya stated

I was taken aback by this encounter. I’ve known these guys since their parents divorced, but I never believed they’d murder their father. “

OCPD Kakamega The three siblings have been arrested and are being held at the Kakamega police station, according to David Kabeya, who confirmed the occurrence.

According to Kabeya, the youngsters will remain in detention while the police investigate.

While the deceased’s body is being held in the Kakamega Referral Hospital mortuary, the family has asked the police to enable the three to take their end-of-term exams while they are in detention.
